Sign in, sign out and reset your password

This page is for everyone who uses the BlinkyPay dashboard: merchants, managers and the brand team. You always sign in with email and password, plus the code from your authenticator app when your user has the second factor turned on.

  1. Open the BlinkyPay dashboard. The sign-in screen has the tabs Sign in and Create account.
  2. In Sign in, type your Email and Password. The eye icon shows or hides the password.
  3. Click Sign in.

If your user has the second factor turned on, the Two-step verification screen asks for the Authentication code from your authenticator app. Type the code and click Continue. If you don't have the app at hand, click Use a recovery code. See Second factor (2FA).

After you sign in, the dashboard opens on your access: your account's dashboard or, if you are on the brand team, the team's dashboard.

No account yet? Click Sign up or the Create account tab. See Create an account.

#When you can't get in

"Incorrect username or password"Check the email and the password. If you don't remember the password, use Forgot password?.

"Too many requests. Wait a moment and try again."Wait a little and try again.
"Invalid code. Use the code your authenticator shows right now."Type the code the app shows at this moment.
"Verification expired. Sign in again with email and password."The screen goes back to email and password. Sign in again.
"Too many wrong codes. Sign in again with email and password."The screen goes back to email and password. Sign in again and use the app's current code.

#Email not confirmed yet

If your email is not confirmed yet, the right password takes you to the Confirm your email screen. It shows which email the link went to and that the link is valid for 24 hours. Open the link in your inbox.

Didn't get it, or the link expired? Click Resend. If the email still needs confirming, a new link arrives in a moment. Back to login takes you back to the sign-in screen.

#Confirm your email

The link in the confirmation email opens the Email confirmation screen. With a valid link, you see Email confirmed: click Go to login and sign in with your email and password.

If you see Could not confirm, the link is invalid or expired. Sign in with your email and password: the Confirm your email screen has Resend.

Opening the link again after confirming is not an error: the screen shows Email confirmed again.

#Forgot your password

  1. On the sign-in screen, click Forgot password?.
  2. In Recover password, type the Email you registered and click Send link.
  3. The Check your email screen confirms the request. For security, it is the same whether or not an account exists for that email.
  4. Open the link that reached your email. It is valid for 30 minutes and works only once.
  5. In Choose a new password, type the New password and repeat it in Confirm password. The password must be at least 8 characters.
  6. Click Reset password. The screen shows Password reset and takes you to sign-in.

When you confirm the new password, all your active sessions are ended, as the screen warns. Resetting the password through the link also confirms your email.

Requested more than one link? Only the latest one works. If the link expired or was already used, the screen shows Link expired or invalid: click Request a new link.

Nothing arrived? On Check your email, click Resend to go back to the form and request again.

#Change your sign-in email

The email you sign in with is changed inside your account, in Account → Settings, Verification tab, Change email box:

  1. Type the New email and your Current password.
  2. Click Request change. The confirmation link goes to the new email. Nothing changes until you open that link.
  3. Open the link in the new email. The Email confirmation screen shows Email confirmed.
  4. Click Go to login and sign in with the new email.

With the change, open sessions are ended and the old email gets a notice.

MessageWhat to do
"Incorrect current password"Type the password you sign in with today.
"This email is already in use"The new email already has access to BlinkyPay. Use another one.
"The new email is the same as the current one"Type an email different from the current one.

If the change link shows Could not confirm, request the change again in Change email.

#Sign out

Click your name (or your initials) at the top of the screen, then Sign out. The dashboard goes back to the sign-in screen.

When the session ends on its own, the dashboard shows "Session expired. Please sign in again." and goes back to the sign-in screen.

To change your password while signed in, see Settings. If you are on the brand team, change your password through Forgot password?.
